Dr Marie-Joëlle Frachette

Director External R&D, Sanofi-Pasteur

Marie-Joëlle holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Lyon University. Dr. Frachette joined Sanofi-Pasteur, the vaccine division of the Sanofi-Aventis group and one of the world-wide leaders in vaccine development, researching CMV and HIV vaccines. Dr. Frachette coordinated the EUROVAC consortium on HIV vaccines, is Director of External R&D at Sanofi-Pasteur and heads a group evaluating new potential vaccine targets and new technologies in the field of antigen generation (expression systems, cell lines/cell culture, fermentation, inactivation technologies).
